JOINING THE BLOGGING COMMUNITY

Something was missing

I thought I had been involved in all facets of the foodservice industry from soup to nuts. Creating, managing, cooking, and serving as a front-line worker was not complete though. I missed one.

Now I’m a blogger as well.

Don’t get bent, vent

This blog has provided me with the opportunity to comment, advise, and question this ever-changing restaurant business.

Sideliners are important as they observe and relate with a different perspective. They provide reflection with a fresh take that should be welcomed.

Instead of being a player, coach, or manager, I’m now a colour-man providing background information to add context to observing and understanding this dynamic industry.

Feedspot – the blog collector

The Feedspot website is chocked full of blogs of all types, not just restaurants, and to be listed there is a pat on the back.

I’m still amazed with the bloggers that have been publishing for upwards of 15 years. As a newbie and aware of the work involved, they deserve my respect. To be recognized along side and by the blogging community encourages me and affirms my decision to blog.
